Book Review: Full Moon New Life: Colouring your way through pregnancy

The popularity of mindfulness colouring in has produced many awesome colouring books for adults.  Women in particular seem to be drawn to this medium for a sense of release, artistic endeavour and relaxation.  I had explored including drawings for colouring in in my own book (This is Your Birth), so you can imagine my delight when I discovered this book by Queensland doula Kirra Guest.

​I purchased a copy via her website and it arrived promptly.  Beautifully packaged with love and care, it was such a joy to open this package.  As I looked through the gorgeous designs, I wished I had discovered this book a year ago, so I could have used it for myself.  The illustrations, by the talented Amy Dominey, are peaceful and gentle.  Kirra has created spaces within the illustrations for your thoughts, affirmations and recording your personal journey.  Children love to hear about this time, and this book becomes a wonderful keepsake to show them.  There is a space to record details of the birth and the 'birth stats'.  

There are no rules with this book, you can simple add colour and your own words.  Or you can use the blank pages for your own creations, in whatever form that is.  

This book would be a lovely gift to receive at a baby shower/mother blessing.
